1. What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how AutoIQ may collect, use, store, and share information when automotive businesses use the AutoIQ website, application, checkout-connected subscription flow, and related services.
AutoIQ is built for business use. In most cases, the shop or business using AutoIQ controls the customer and vehicle information it chooses to place into the platform.
2. Information AutoIQ may collect
We may collect account and workspace details such as business name, contact names, email addresses, phone numbers, role information, plan selection, and setup preferences.
We may collect customer, vehicle, and service information that your team adds to AutoIQ, including communication history, appointment details, notes, work order data, invoices, photos, warranty-related information, service history, and repair recommendations.
We may collect usage and technical information such as log data, device or browser information, page activity, feature interactions, and basic performance or diagnostic information needed to operate and improve the service.
We may also receive billing-related metadata tied to platform checkout and subscription management, such as order status, plan identifiers, billing timestamps, renewal state, and payment status signals. We do not need full payment card numbers in the storefront application to operate AutoIQ.
3. How AutoIQ uses information
We use information to provide the platform, support scheduling, CRM, reminders, messaging, reporting, service automation, onboarding, account administration, and customer support.
We may use information to improve reliability, secure the service, analyze product usage, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and develop new features relevant to automotive businesses.
Where appropriate, we may use information to send service-related notices, billing updates, product updates, and other operational communications connected to your account.
4. How information may be shared
We may share information with service providers and infrastructure partners who help us host, operate, secure, analyze, support, or bill for AutoIQ, but only to the extent needed for those services.
We may share billing and subscription information with the platform checkout and order systems that process AutoIQ plan purchases and renewals.
We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce platform rights, to respond to security incidents, or to protect AutoIQ, our users, or the public.
If AutoIQ is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. AutoIQ does not sell personal information in the ordinary course of operating this SaaS product.
5. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Retention periods can vary depending on the kind of data, the subscription state, backup cycles, and operational or legal requirements.
6. Security
AutoIQ uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
No system is perfectly secure, and no internet transmission or storage environment can be guaranteed as risk-free. That practical limitation may be refined later with legal review, but the operational point remains the same: we work to protect data, while you should also protect account access and internal user permissions.
7. Your choices and rights
You can generally review, update, or correct workspace information from inside AutoIQ, and you can manage who has access to your workspace through your internal account controls.
Depending on where you are located, you may also have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of certain personal information. We may need to verify the request and may keep some information where the law or legitimate business needs require it.
8. Customer data responsibilities
If your business uses AutoIQ to store customer, vehicle, service, or communication data, your business is responsible for making sure that information was collected lawfully and that your downstream use of it complies with your own legal and customer-notice obligations.
This matters in practice for reminders, review requests, estimate follow-up, marketing messages, warranty-related outreach, and any other communications your shop sends through AutoIQ.
9. Changes to this policy
AutoIQ may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When that happens, we will revise the effective date on this page and may provide additional notice if the change is material.
10. Contact
For privacy questions or data-rights requests, use the contact details already associated with your AutoIQ workspace, billing record, or onboarding communications so we can verify the request and respond through the right channel.
